Financial Support

Do you love our program but worry about the costs of childcare? See if you qualify for low cost or zero cost care through the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)!

What is CCAP?

The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), commonly referred to as the Subsidy Program, helps eligible families with some or all of the costs of childcare. Families may qualify based on:

  • Income
  • Reasons for needing care
  • Child’s age and/or individual need

CCAP has recently expanded eligibility to all working Ulster County residents, including those currently seeking employment or currently enrolled in school. Check out these eligibility requirements and income caps for further information.

Do I qualify?

Although income is a part of the decision process, is not the only factor when it comes to qualifying for CCAP. The CCAP Eligibility Questionnaire allows parents and caretakers to see if they may qualify for assistance. With most questions being simple Yes or No, this quick process should take about ten minutes or less.

How to apply:

To apply for CCAP, contact your Local Department of Social Services (LDSS) office. Applications must be filed with the Ulster County Department of Social Services (UCDSS) by printing and filling out these downloadable application and forms, picking up a packet at the UCDSS office, or calling to request an application packet be mailed to you. Luckily the UCDSS office is conveniently located right here in Kingston, just ten minutes away from Livingston Street!
